If your district has a policy to exempt seniors (or others) from final exams, here is the NCVirtual process. NCVirtual teachers are expected to give final exams or final projects in non-EOC courses and CTE courses that require teacher-made exams. If you’ve not already made arrangements with your school’s testing coordinator, please do that right away. (Note: Some CTE courses do not have a state test.) Schools will also need to average the EOC and CTE scores into the grades that we post for those courses. Schools must administer all EOC and CTE state tests. You do not need to report state test grades back to NCVPS. Schools must administer and incorporate state test grades locally to determine the final grade. Most schools only record the final NCVPS grades in PowerSchool at the end of the term. Your final averages will not match NCVPS final grades. Schools should avoid entering unweighted progress grades into PowerSchool as quarterly report card grades that are weighted. All progress reports show unweighted grades.
